STRESZCZENIE W referacie przedstawiono biblioteki cyfrowe i repozytoria elektroniczne funkcjonujące na Dolnym Śląsku w latach 2004-2008. Scharakteryzowano ogólnie ich zawartość i wielkość, zaprezentowano standardy i systemy zarządzania kolekcjami cyfrowymi oraz omówiono uwarunkowania prawne towarzyszące zarządzaniu zasobami cyfrowymi. Wskazano możliwości wykorzystania kolekcji cyfrowych w badan...
متن کاملW and Z Physics
The electroweak theory elegantly combines the electromagnetic and weak forces, explaining a wide range of interactions using a gauge theory with just three parameters. The theory predicted the W and Z weak gauge bosons before they were directly observed in 1983, and its detailed predictions of W and Z boson properties have been tested to such precision that they now serve as probes for new part...
متن کاملExtending W for Object-Z
This paper presents a logic for Object-Z which extends W, the logic for Z adopted as the basis of the deductive system in the Z Base Standard. The logic provides a basis on which tool support for reasoning about Object-Z speciications can be developed. It also formalises the intended meaning of Object-Z constructs and hence provides an abstract, axiomatic semantics of the language.
متن کاملW/Z + Light Flavor Jets and W/Z + Heavy Flavor Jets at the Tevatron
Collider signatures containing bosons and jets are particularly interesting. Recent theoretical effort has been devoted to determining predictions of W/Z + multiple parton production; the high statistics sample of W/Z + jets events collected at the Tevatron is a valuable testbed for probing the validity of these calculations. The final state containing a Z or W boson and one or more b-jets is a...
متن کاملQuartic gauge couplings from e + e − → W + W − Z
Effective quartic gauge couplings on tree level appear in a strong interacting Higgs scenario, which could be relevant, e.g. if no standard model Higgs would be found 1. This scenario can be described in terms of an effective chiral Lagrangian valid for invariant energies m W,Z < √ s < 4πv, where the vacuum expectation value due to electroweak symmetry breaking is v = (√ 2G F) −1 ≃ 246 GeV. It ...
